Polar Bears and Penguins

We read a comic called "The Bare Essentials of Polarity" and it was about polar bear and penguins. It was teaching us about polarity and bonding between atoms in greater detail. It also taught us the concept of electronegativity, which helps us to understand partial charges.

polar molecule is just a molecule with a difference in electrical charge between two ends.

electronegativity tends to rise as you move "northeast" on the periodic table, and decrease as you move "southwest". Electronegativity is the ability of an atom/nucleus to attract bonding electrons toward itself.
